1 year older and wiser too :)

1 year! I cannot believe it has been one year since Alexis joined our family. She is such a joy. Such a good baby. She sleeps through the night. Takes two naps a day, usually without complaint. She doesn't like to eat breakfast beyond some puffs. She loves cheese and ice cream. She's been walking for over a month and climbs stairs like a pro. She's just began coming down the stairs-backwards. She finally cut another tooth on the top. She is such a sweetie pie. We celebrated her birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Marsh, Uncle Sam, Jake, Ben, and Russ, Aunt Michelle, Great Grandma Jan, and cousin Alec on the 24th. Not everyone could make it on her birthday (the 26th) so we celebrated a little early. She received a lot of fun presents and had fun with everyone.

1 Year old!
Aidan is now a month old. Crazy how time flies. He is doing well. He was a little small so we've had to supplement. That is going a little too well and he doesn't want to nurse now. He sleeps a lot still. Eats about every two hours-nights included. On top of that, I caught a cold and cough. Sleeping has been in little supply. Aidan is already changing and growing. He's already so much a part of our lives. Kurt is doing well at his job. He also has a calling in young men's now with the teachers quorum. We are all doing very well and enjoying life! It is so much fun having two kids and we love them so much.

First thanksgiving :)

Aidan!!

So, most recent events....Aidan William arrived!! We are so happy to have him here and he is such a joy already. I went to the doctor on October 29th hoping to have some change...and was disappointed. But, the disappointment did not last long. I got scheduled to be induced the next day at 7:30 am. I hardly slept that night before. I felt like I had to cram everything in that needed to get done before the baby came. I thought I was ready...but suddenly was not. We got up really early to go drop Lexi off at Grandma and Grandpa marsh's. My dad and Kurt gave me a blessing and then we headed up to the hospital. We were a little late, but it didn't matter because it took them forever to get me into a room. We did the routine vitals and paperwork, then they started my IV. I got started on my antibiotics and began the wait. After a few hours we got Oxytocin started to start my labor! Around 12:30 my dr came in to break my water. Once that happened, the contractions really started hurting so I decided to get my epidural. My anesthesiologist was great. He was in and out within 5 minutes...but then was back in two hours because the pump had been unplugged somehow and so I was hurting again. We weren't very happy about that, although it is kind of funny now. Around 3:30 I was feeling really nauseous and having bad heart burn so my nurse gave me this nasty crap to drink. She said it would either fix everything or make me throw up. And with my luck it made me throw up. Which ended up being a good thing because about half an hour later nurse said it was time to call my dr! Now, just a warning on this next part. It may make some of you moms jealous and cause you to not like me anymore....which would be really sad. So, read only if you can look past it and we can continue our friendship :) My dr arrived and things started going. I started pushing at 4:29. I had three contractions and after 5 minutes of pushing-he was here! Things went so smoothly and we loved our doctor. She did amazing. So, Aidan came at 4:34 pm. He weighed 6 lbs and 6 oz and was 19.5 inches long. He is so healthy and doing so well.

We decided to only stay at the hospital for 24 hours so we came home on Halloween. My mom got him a cute little lion outfit to come home in. I was surprised by how big it was, but still super cute. We dressed Lexi up in a BYU cheerleading uniform, but she had had a long day was not very thrilled about any of it.

All in all it was great experience and we are so happy to have Aidan with us. We are still working out the kinks of having two little ones under 1 year old, but we have had a lot of help! We're so grateful to all who have helped us through the last week.
