5 months old :)

Well Lexi has hit the 5 month mark and I just can't believe it! I'm a bad mom and I did not weigh her or measure her. Some new things that she did this past month were:

-On April 5th she found her feet and now she really likes to reach down and hold them.
-The week of April 3 she got her first cold and cough. It just so happened that Doctor Grandpa was out of town too!
-She visited Aunt Michelle's basement apartment on April 2.
-She rolls from her back to her tummy regularly.

Lexi went through a phase where she liked to wake up at 4:30 every morning. And I'm just realizing that our blog did not announce our new arrival. We are expecting baby number 2 on November 4th! So mornings are not well for Missy again. So the 4:30 thing was really hard, but we started adding rice cereal to her bottles (a lot of rice cereal) because she does like it from a spoon. That was a new thing we tried this month also. Anyway, things are going well with Missy and her pregnancy. Things are right on schedule at 12 weeks and 4 days today. It is definitely passing quicker this time. But back to Lexi, she is sleeping now about 9 hours a night. She falls asleep by herself in her crib around 10 and sleeps till 8 or 9 in the morning without waking up to eat anytime in there and it is wonderful!!

4 months old!

Alexis is now 4 months old and we just can't believe how time flies!! At her appointment she weighed 13 lbs and was 24.25 inches long! She's getting so big! Some milestones this last month:
-First walk outside in her stroller was March 5.
-First time with rice cereal in her bottle was March 16.
-First time she pooped in the tub was March 22.
-First time she rolled from back to belly was March 25 (she only did this once, so it may have been a fluke).

We are enjoying her so much! She has begun talking and laughing all the time, although sometimes we really have to work it out of her. We got her a bouncer that hangs from the door with some money from Missy's Aunt Ruthy and she hasn't quite figured that out yet. She just likes to suck on it. Same with the back pack holder we got for walks.

She is such a little sweetie! We love her so much!

Titanic

I've always had a strange fascination with the titanic. I received the book "Passage on the Titanic" by Anita Stansfield for my birthday and I can't wait to read it. This is a preview for it. Enjoy!

Post Birthday and Such

We blessed Alexis on the 5th. It was fun to see all the family again and show off my adorable baby. She was so sweet and happy for the whole meeting.

My birthday went very well. I received some wonderful gifts from my family and husband. We took Lexi to get blessings pictures done, but she did not cooperate very well and they did not turn out as well as we had hoped.

My new bedset on my bed :) <3 it!
Alexis is now about 2 months and 2 weeks old. She's getting so big. She has officially outgrown all of her newborn clothes. It was sad but also exciting to put new clothes on her. some new things she has learned how to do are:
- Holding her bottle by herself. She doesn't always do it but when she does she gets quite a grip on it.
-Smacking her lips! It is so cute!
-She also thinks she can sit up...all the time. She doesn't like laying back anymore. She'll do crunches to try and get up!
We love our sweet little girl so much! She's growing too fast!

Birthday

So my birthday is next week...and i've just been thinking about the last year. A lot happened! A year ago we moved to Ogden...and boy was that an adventure! The job we loved and that got us down here ended terribly and was not fun at all. We found out we were pregnant in March and by April I was sick sick sick! Things got a little crazy for those nine months. In July we changed locations...and jobs. Kurt really did not feel content at the bank but held out for our little family. We've really liked our new apartment and the ward we're in. We were both really busy with our callings until little Lexi came. Sad to say we haven't really been very active since she came, at least not in our ward. Life has definitely become a little more paced with a baby. All the while, Kurt has been working on his master's degree at Ashford University and he's getting closer and closer to getting done! In November our little Alexis came and that has been one of the biggest changes. Right after we had the baby, Kurt got a new job as an assistant manager at a restaurant. He loves it and is doing very well there. Alexis has really been such a good little baby. She has begun smiling at people she recognizes. She is outgrowing her newborn outfits, which is really sad, but exciting because I get to play dress up with her new clothes :) She also sleeps 7-8 hours a night-which is wonderful! All in all...I guess what I'm getting at is that I'm very content with life and all that has happened to get me where I am now. I super love my hubby, Kurt, and my sweet angel, Alexis.

2 months old!!

Looking up at my Lion Mobile in my crib

I am 2 months old!!
Lexi is now 2 months old! I can hardly believe it. She is the best baby. Everyone deserves such a sweet baby. We had her two month appointment today. She now weighs 10 lbs 2 oz and is in the 50th percentile. She is 22 inches long. We gave her some baby tylonel before her appointment in preparation for her shots. It was grape flavored and she slurped it down! She had 3 shots and cried more than I've seen her cry yet. She stuck out her bottom lip and was so sad. She calmed down really fast and just wanted to be held. She slept almost the rest of the day. The doctor really wears her out! We just love her so much.
