Behind

8 months old and getting too big for the basket!
New Giraffe we got at Bear World in Idaho
So we're a little behind. I didn't get a 8 month blog posted...so we're combining. In her eight month Lexi began crawling and loves it. She's everywhere....We attended her first Norman family reunion and went to Lagoon, which we've already seen a photo of. We also got her ears pierced! We debated and debated and I finally just decided to do it.

Family Picture :) It was very bright as you can tell by Lexi's face haha
She just loves her giraffe
Its the Oreo monster!!
So now on to 9 months. She had her first Dick reunion in Rexburg which included her first dance festival and petting zoo at Bear World. We went camping with my parents for a few days and she slept in a tent for the first time. She also got her first tooth! And decided to climb out of her crib...so we had to make some adjustments on that. She's getting so big and smart. It's so much fun just to watch her interact with the world. Other updates...Kurt now works at First National Bank of Layton as a credit analyst. I only have 10 weeks left before our baby boy comes-probably less than that so woohoo. And here we go with pictures :) Someday I'll get some of our new place on here. The pictures are all over, but at lea

She just so cute!

Sigh

So...life has taken me for a ride the past couple of weeks. We've been very busy with lots of things going on! Lexi is now 7 months old and I am just barely filling out her baby book for it. Kurt and I moved to Harrisville at the end of June. Such a blessing! Our place is a townhome, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. It is just great. Lexi experienced her first time swimming in the past month and also took a road trip to Shoshone Idaho for Memorial Day. She can get onto her hands and knees and rock. She is so close to crawling, its miserable. After moving she latched onto Mommy and doesn't seem to want to let go. She also has a hard time sleeping through the night since we moved. We moved her into a bigger crib, which helped a lot. Things are just going great! Our baby boy is developing well and pregnancy with a boy seems to suit me just fine! I am now 23 weeks along and feeling great. The Norman side of the family had a family reunion this past week and there are some pictures of the hike that Lexi and I went on.

6 months Old! Ah!

We have hit the half year mark and I just cannot believe it. Time has certainly flown. My little girl is growing up! She now weighs 15.3 lbs and measured 25 3/4 inches which are both average for her age. We gave her a little hair trim this month and also started her on baby food. As for an update on number 2-it is a BOY and we couldn't be happier! The preparations have already begun and I am just 18 weeks along. We are also moving at the end of June to a nice townhome in Harrisville. It has 3 bedrooms and will be such a blessing! Here are some cute pictures of Lexi this month :)

We like ponytails :)

5 months old :)

Well Lexi has hit the 5 month mark and I just can't believe it! I'm a bad mom and I did not weigh her or measure her. Some new things that she did this past month were:

-On April 5th she found her feet and now she really likes to reach down and hold them.
-The week of April 3 she got her first cold and cough. It just so happened that Doctor Grandpa was out of town too!
-She visited Aunt Michelle's basement apartment on April 2.
-She rolls from her back to her tummy regularly.

Lexi went through a phase where she liked to wake up at 4:30 every morning. And I'm just realizing that our blog did not announce our new arrival. We are expecting baby number 2 on November 4th! So mornings are not well for Missy again. So the 4:30 thing was really hard, but we started adding rice cereal to her bottles (a lot of rice cereal) because she does like it from a spoon. That was a new thing we tried this month also. Anyway, things are going well with Missy and her pregnancy. Things are right on schedule at 12 weeks and 4 days today. It is definitely passing quicker this time. But back to Lexi, she is sleeping now about 9 hours a night. She falls asleep by herself in her crib around 10 and sleeps till 8 or 9 in the morning without waking up to eat anytime in there and it is wonderful!!

4 months old!

Alexis is now 4 months old and we just can't believe how time flies!! At her appointment she weighed 13 lbs and was 24.25 inches long! She's getting so big! Some milestones this last month:
-First walk outside in her stroller was March 5.
-First time with rice cereal in her bottle was March 16.
-First time she pooped in the tub was March 22.
-First time she rolled from back to belly was March 25 (she only did this once, so it may have been a fluke).

We are enjoying her so much! She has begun talking and laughing all the time, although sometimes we really have to work it out of her. We got her a bouncer that hangs from the door with some money from Missy's Aunt Ruthy and she hasn't quite figured that out yet. She just likes to suck on it. Same with the back pack holder we got for walks.

She is such a little sweetie! We love her so much!
